There are many opportunities for Course, Game and Sea Fishing  in the area. The sea fishing stations of Balcary Point and Rascarrel Bay are a short 10 minute drive away.

Day tickets are  available for Dalbeattie Reservoir or the River Urr (Dalbeattie Angling Association)  or Castle Douglas Angling Association. Day tickets can be purchased from McCowan & Son in Dalbeattie or Castle Douglas. Both shops stock a wide range of fishing and sporting goods.

Greenhill Fishery, near Dalbeattie is a day ticket fishery, offering coarse fishing; including Mirror & Common Carp to 8lbs, fly and bait fishing for trout.
